According to the traditional Indian medicinal system, Chakras are wheel-like vortices located in the body. Each contains energy pools which are constantly spinning. The spinning of the Chakras form the focal point through which energies are received and transmitted throughout the body.
Chakras are located throughout the body. Every organ in the body is found to resonate with a certain musical note and reacts to a certain color, scent and taste. Out of over 500 energy centers, there are seven prominent chakras that are located from the base of the spine to the top of the head which forms a path for the movement of the life energy force in the body.
When the passage within these chakras is blocked, people suffer from physical and emotional imbalances. There are different tools available to connect with each of the senses – sound, color, aroma, minerals, crystals, foods etc., through which one is able to work towards balancing these chakras.
The seven Chakras are:
- Root Chakra
- Sacral Chakra
- Solar Plexus Chakra
- Heart Chakra
- Throat Chakra
- Third Eye Chakra
- Crown Chakra
